The Central Chilean Andes

The Andes have many interesting mountain habitats including moorland, arid hillsides, heath, cliffs, bogs, upland valleys and Andean lakes and rivers, all inhabited by very interesting and sometimes endemic birds, among them the Andean Condor, Black-chested Buzzard Eagle, Andean Caracara, Andean Goose, Torrent Duck, Crested Duck, Diademed Sandpiper Plover, Grey-breasted Seedsnipe, Andean Gull, Black-winged Ground Dove, White-sided Hillstar, Rufous-banded Miner, Crag Chilia (Endemic), Moustached Turca (Endemic), Gray-hooded Sierra Finch, Greater Yellow Finch, Plumbeous Sierra Finch, Band-tailed Sierra Finch, Yellow-bridled Finch, Thick-billed and Yellow-rumped Siskin.
